Rosedale Plantation

0 Comments Posted by Kevin

Rosedale Plantation was called “Frew’s Folly” by neighbors. It was originally built on a 919 acre plantation by Archibald Frew.

The grounds are open daily (Tuesday-Sunday) for visitors and is available to rent for events too. Tours of the house are available twice a day. This house is one of the finest examples of Federal period architecture that is open to the public in Charlotte, NC. The faux mahogany wood work was hand made from pine. Original French hand painted wallpaper still survives in three of the home’s rooms.
